And here are the pictures from my real camera that didn’t post…
Wow. It looks so smart and sharp and groovy. Inspiring.
Wow. It looks so smart and sharp and groovy. Inspiring. I guess my cabin will be finished one day ……. Seems a long way off right now! Cheers! Stephen
Well thank you sir, that means a lot coming from you, your house is one of my favorites!
The house looks great. I like the bed area especially. I’ve been thinking of ways around the standard tiny/small house loft.
How is it living with a giant puppy? I’m looking into a large breed I was unsure if anyone else had tried living with one in a small space.
Hi! Thank you for your kind words! Living with Denny is workable because he is fairly low energy, I think it would be harder with a real active dog. He may take up more space but he doesn’t move a whole bunch until walk time. It is important to give them each their own space, he likes his bed area (but sometimes he gets brave and crawls up to mine, which is perfectly ok with me 🙂 ). I think I have to stop at one dog of his size when maybe you could get away with two smaller ones. He still has about 80 pounds to grow so I will certainly update when he is closer to full size if anything changes. I love him though, the house was definitely designed with him in mind.
I love all your pictures. I don’t think you can have to many pictures. I found you blog over 5 months ago and love reading about everything. Your design is awesome. I am planning my own tiny house for the future.
Awesome Alicia, thanks! That’s nice to hear. It’s an exciting journey most steps of the way :). Good luck planning your tiny, if you choose to document it I would love a link to follow along!
It all looks really great! Besides the negative bits, does it feel cool to be in a house that you built?
You know, honestly, it hasn’t hit me yet… I haven’t slowed down enough with other things to really sit back and take in the accomplishment. It has still felt like it’s just a to-do list. I think I let my to-do list spend more time in my head than the good stuff and reflection… I’m sure one day it will hit me… but as of now… it feels like just another thing… I think I need a couple years! ha! Hindsight is always better 🙂
Everything looks incredible! I LOVE that lamp and the recliner. This is so motivating. We finally began the electrical in our house this weekend. Woohoo!
Hey! You got comments to work! Thank you Jessica! I just went back and read your recent posts! Exciting about the film camera stuff, there is so much more to that than digital. I’m a fan! ALSO exciting that you’re onto electrical, that’s the crappiest but funnest part in my opinion! It’s not really ‘crappy’ I just thought I had a handle on things better than I did and had to re-do things, it’s a lot less labor intensive so hopefully it’s a good little break… and then you can hang out in there in the dark! 🙂 Best of luck as always, I’ll totally be sending good vibes!
Your house looks great! You did a great job 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words, that is the best sort of encouragement! 🙂
House looks great, plants, kitchen, shower, lighting dress by bed. What kind of shampoo bar do you use? Have tried some and didn’t like any. Thanks.
Hi Beth, Thanks! I use a shampoo bar from Soapforgoodnesssake.com, the grapefruit one is my favorite. It doesn’t leave me feeling grungy still. 🙂
Your house is looking beautiful, Macy! We are in the process of building ours so it’s great inspiration to look at. 🙂
Awww, thank you!
Macy this is just wonderful. I am SO happy for you! I love your colour scheme and lights and kitchen and floppy puppy 🙂 Awesome to see how clearly each tiny houser’s work reflects them so clearly and individually!
By the way, I think it took several months before mine felt like a real livable house, it was so hard to let go of the feeling that something else needed to be done. And it didn’t help that I was also totally afraid of messing up everything, but it’s a house and it’s supposed to be lived in! Great great job, and happy living! Now comes the best part 🙂
It feels so not done still, you’re right, I just keep thinking of all the little things still… Thanks for your kind words as always! It looks like you have an awesome slice of life in Cali! Wewt! Super happy for you!
Macy, I love that 3 lantern lamp you have! Where did you get it? Its gorgeous!
A friend of mine was restyling their place and gave it to me, I happen to know it came from World Market though!
